Welcome from the Graduate Student Association 2018:
Hello everyone! My name is William Marsh and I am the president of the Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Graduate Student Association for the 2019-2020 school year. We have several exciting fundraising and volunteer events planned for the year. From fundraising at various restaurants to volunteering at events like the 8th Grade Discovery Day at the Meridian Technology Center, we hope to have some great times for people to get together and to raise some money for our organization while doing it. Make sure to come by our booth at Walkaround during “America’s Greatest Homecoming Celebration” and also our departmental symposium during the Spring semester. I am really looking forward to everything we will be doing this year!
To the new students who will be entering the department this school year, I wish to welcome you. I hope that you find this website to be a helpful resource to you as you prepare to enter the program. We are all looking forward to meeting each and every one of you and hope that your transition here is a smooth one. If you have any questions before (or even after!) you get here, please do not hesitate to contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org). Additionally, check out our Facebook group page as well as our Campus Link Page to get involved with the MMGGSA and know what we are doing on any given day!
Thank you all!
